Undy Memorial Hall

The project

Website Design

At the end of the second world war the local ‘Welcome Home Committee’ determined that a pre-war community hall scheme be revived with the aim of “providing a more permanent recognition of the services of all our members of the Forces”. Thus, the Memorial Hall was born.

Today, it still stands and is now successfully run by a group of local trustees which serves as a small community hub for the residents of the local villages of Undy and Magor.

Summit Design were tasked in creating a professional and modern website with an integrated calendar system which now keeps the community up-to-date on bookings, events & any other information on the hall.

Happy clients

Undy Memorial Hall has just launched its first website www.undymemorialhall.co.uk with website developer Ben Davies of Summit Design, who was selected following approaches to three companies for quotes. Summit's quote was reasonable, and clearly set out their services which met our specifications.

The iterative process of building the site worked very well, with Ben listening closely to our requirements, and giving regular previews of the site in a professional and timely manner. The response rate to our corrections and queries was excellent, as was the understanding of the detail of what we were trying to achieve.

All the trustees are very happy with the end product, including the photographs taken by Ben, and look forward to the continuing support which will be available."
